About me

My name is Dominik and I'm 28 years, 348 days and 7,136 seconds young. I was born in Ulm, Germany, and I'm a passionate full-stack developer.

I probably spend more time in front of a screen than I'd like to admit – but at least it's usually for a good reason. I love writing code, turning new ideas into something real and building, step by step, a thought into something that actually works in the end. Most of the time, anyway.

My interest in technology goes far beyond programming, though. Apple in particular has won me over. I love good design, well-thought-out products and those small details that probably only delight people who spend far too long staring at user interfaces. So I usually follow new Apple products with a mix of excitement and the question of whether I really need them. We both probably know the answer.

When I need a break from the screen, you'll often find me on the golf course. I like the mix of calm, focus and the fact that this sport regularly reminds you not to take yourself too seriously. Some days everything goes exactly as planned – and on others you're just happy to find your ball again.

A completely different side of me is my passion for Latin America. I love the music, the culture, the joy of life and especially the energy that comes with it. Latin music is on pretty much all the time – whether I'm working, on the go, or when “just one song” has suddenly turned into an entire playlist.

In the end, I'm probably a somewhat unusual mix: developer, Apple enthusiast, golfer and big fan of Latin American culture.

And that mix actually describes me pretty well.
